2020 Reclass Guidelines
Reclassification for 2020 are as follows effective January 1, 2020. The class you are classified for winter ball in WA State will remain the same until December 31, 2019. However, if you're building a team for the 2020 season reclassified team players will be assigned the tag that a team has been reclassified to for 2020. This classification is for both USSSA & GSL.
We realize that some of these teams are no longer together, and that some teams are not listed. If your team is not listed, then you are still the same class that you were in 2019. ALL teams "E" or higher must submit a roster to the Classification Committee at mensclasswa@gmail.com before you can play in any tournament in 2020. All teams moved from E to Rec must submit a roster to mensclasswa@gmail.com before you play To submit roster go to WA USSSA message board. Click on Men's Program. Then click on 2020 Men's rosters. Fill out ALL info then send to mensclasswa@gmail.com

Reclassifcation for 2020 is based on tournament results during the 2019 season.
Please understand that these moves were all made based on the rosters that we had on hand at the end of the 2019 season, and the records that were obtained thru tournament play during 2019. We fully realize that things change and some of you may not agree with the moves that we have made. If any coach is in disagreement with being moved up for the 2020 season, you have the right to appeal this decision. Your appeal will not be acted upon until after January 1, 2020. In most instances these teams will remain at this class until after they have participated in a minimum of 2 tournaments, at their new classification, after April 15th, 2020. If your team was moved by the National Classification Committee (NCC), you must play in a minimum of 4 tournaments after April 15, 2020 before you can appeal. If your team was moved by the Slow Pitch By-Laws Automatic move up (AMU) must participate at your new class for one (1) year. DO NOT submit an appeal without the following information:
1) Date played (which tournament).
2) Number of teams in the tournament
3) Your record and finish
4) Scores & teams played (indicate if there was a run spot).
5) Players not at the tournament
6) Reasons why the committee should reclass your team.
7) 2019 roster

Last, but not least, we do the best we can and realize that we will make mistakes, and will most likely not please everyone in the softball community. We have provided steps for each of you to take if you are in disagreement. Please use the opportunity that we have provided, and not vent your displeasure on this board.
I personally thank each of you for your support of Washington USSSA/GSL, and look forward to the coming year. In the very near future I will be posting some more information for the 2020 season.
